Extremity Games is organized by Athletes with Disabilities Network (ADN), whose mission is to promote a better quality of life by creating opportunities for athletes with physical disabilities.

ADN organizes Extremity Games, as well as Athletes with Disabilities Hall of Fame®, which recognizes and honors men and women who have overcome physical challenges to become elite athletes and superior role models.

Extremity Games Motocross

  • Event will be scored 2-Moto format
  • Safety equipment is required.

Sit-down – athletes must be strapped in.


Extremity Games – Main Event

Kayaking

  • Competitors will race on an outdoor course, challenged by different obstacles and turns.
  • Each competitor will compete in two non-consecutive runs in the Preliminary Round, with time beginning when competitor crosses start line and ending when competitor crosses finish line. Best time of the two runs will be used for Preliminary Round ranking.
  • The top three competitors with the best time at the end of the Preliminary Round will advance to the Final Round and compete in one final run to determine division winner.

Speed Rock Climbing

  • Timed competition to climb to top of 30 ft rock wall.
  • Each competitor will take two non-consecutive, individual attempts to complete the course in the Preliminary Round with the best of the two times counting for ranking in this round. Any ties in Preliminary Round will be broken by best time on alternate run.
  • The top three competitors in each division will advance to the Final Round and compete in one final run on a different route with increased difficulty. Best time will determine division winner.

Skateboarding

  • A judged, street skating competition measuring overall originality and style, degree of difficulty and technical tricks.
  • Each competitor will take two non-consecutive 60-second runs with the best score used for Preliminary Round ranking.
  • The top three competitors at the end of the Preliminary Round will advance to the Final Round and compete in one 90-second run, with the same scoring criteria, to determine division winner.
  • Helmets are required. Other safety gear is optional.


Cross Country Mountain Biking

  • Single race in which the first cyclist to cross the finish line is deemed the winner.
  • Cyclists will race several laps, determined by the race director, of an approximately 2 mile course.
  • Helmets are required


Wakeboarding

  • A judged competition measuring overall execution/fluidity of routine, proficiency of moves (technical/intensity) and style when utilizing the wake of a boat.
  • Each competitor will take two non-consecutive runs (one pass with three pick-ups) with the best score used for Preliminary Round ranking.
  • The top three competitors at the end of the Preliminary Round will advance to the Final Round and compete in one final run, one pass with three pick-ups,)with the same scoring criteria, to determine division winner.
